BELT: It is used to transfer the turns of the motors to the shafts and moving parts (through pulleys).

EXTRUDER : It is an element of the FDM printers. Its function is to eject the filament to make it go through the HOTEND.

HOTEND / FUSOR: It is the component of the printer that is attached to the nozzle that heats the filament to its melting point (between 200 ℃ and 300 ℃)

CURA: It is a software that is responsible for converting STL files to the GCODE format used by the printer’s electronics. (It will allow to modify printing parameters and view the piece)

SLT : It allows to pass or store our 3D designs between different programs.


BRIM : It is a technique that consists of adding flat surfaces attached to the perimeter of our design in those problem areas, thus improving adherence to the base.

FDM: Printing technique that consists of depositing different layers of molten material superimposed on each other.

SLA: Printing technique that consists of solidifying the resin using a laser light .


CARTESIAN PRINTER: Type of FDM printer that moves based on 3 coordinate axes and moves between them to print.

DELTA PRINTER: Type of FDM printer that moves the extruder through 3 arms on the base.

PRINT VOLUME: Maximum size that a 3D printer can print.
